Worship is such a powerful thing yet so hard to grasp on a regular basis. We tend to depend on the church or the worship leader to create those moments for us rather than looking for God-moments and worshiping on our own. Look for God this week and let him lead you in ways to worship him.

  • When/where do you spend your best moments with God?

  • Describe a time when you were able to worship God through special circumstances.

  • Is it hard for you to experience God "along the way" in your life?

  • How can you create for yourself moments of genuine worship?

  • Read a favorite Psalm. Read this Psalm each day and ask God to help you in your worship.

Unresolved issues can keep us from having healthy relationships. Particularly in a relationship with God. Since God is not visible to us it may be easy to leave things unresolved. As you spend time with God this week let him expose some of those things in your life that may be keeping you from having an intimate relationship with him.

Here are some questions to get you started:

Have you ever said something to God and then regretted it?

What were the circumstances?

What did you learn from that experience?

Would you be afraid to tell God "how you really feel?"

When you read the Jonah story what stands out to you when you consider his relationship to God?

Everything around us changes. For most people change is good. It brings excitment to what could be a rather boring existence. This week be open to the changes God may want to initiate in your life.

  • Does clutter bother you? Where do you hide things where they might get piled up at your house?

  • Do you ever feel like your life gets filled with clutter?

  • Do you have spiritual disciplines that help you deal with the clutter in your life?

  • When you read the story of the lost son (Luke 15:11-31) what speaks loudest to you?

  • How can we live more transparent lives so that we can help one another in our relationship with God?

The idea of missional living is not intended to be complicated. In fact, it really is a simple way of looking at the life of a disciple. The hope is that we can understand that we ought to live our missional life in partnership with God in our culture.

  • Do you enjoy serving? Describe a time when serving brought you joy.

  • Share your thoughts on how serving effects the "server" more than the "served."

  • What words would you like to describe your missional life?

  • What is your greatest struggle living missionally?

  • What can you do today that will help you develop a missional life?
